Rev. Precious S. Hawkins is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist

Church. She was appointed to Asbury UMC in June 2020. Rev. Hawkins had previously served as lead pastor at Speedwell UMC, Haven-Sheffield and New Hope Circuit, Woodbine Circuit: Oak Hill UMC, Clinch’s Chapel and Hamilton Chapel; Greater Trinity UMC, Pinkney Chapel, Harper’s Chapel

Pastor Hawkins is passionate minister, teacher, workshop facilitator and cancer survivor, she is committed to helping others grow in faith and spiritual discipline. She has taught both introductory and advanced Lay Servant classes in the South GA Conference. Rev. Hawkins in currently a member of the leadership team for the Georgia 5 Day Academy and member of the Coastal District Board of Ordained Ministry. Previously she served as a committee member and Dean of Georgia Pastor’s School.

She holds a Master of Divinity from Emory’s Candler School of Theology with certifications in Black Church Studies and Women in Theology and Ministry. Rev. Hawkins is also the author of two books, Inspired Not Intimidated: A 12-Month Prayer Guide and Journal and 10-Minute Inspirations: A Devotional Journal.

Her greatest joy is her three children, Evyn, Noelle, and Christopher.
